Gathering 2009To celebrate the 250th aniversary of the birth of Robert Burns a year of events will take place under the banner of Homecomming Scotland 2009.
One of the major events was The Gathering 2009 which was the largest Clan gathering in history. The gathering took place in Edinburgh on the 25th and 26th July 2009. The Boyle family was represented at the gathering.
Holyrood Park hosted a magnificent Highland Games over the two days and on the Saturday evening Clan members paraded up the historic Royal Mile to take their seats on the castle esplanade for a spectacular Clan Pageant.
Patrick Boyle is the 10th Earl of Glasgow and the Scotish Clan Chief. He would love to see as many family members as possible. Kelburn Castle is Patrick's family home near Largs.
